About

Good Music, Good Coffee, Good Company

18 Years of Good Music, Good Coffee and Good Company!

One of Metro Detroit's longest running Christian Coffeehouses

One

4thFridays with rufus harris is a multi-media entertainment venue that features music, art, poetry and comedy in a coffeehouse setting. The monthly event showcases gifted independent Christian artists while providing diverse entertainment for the community.  We took a pause when Covid-19 hit in 2020 but will be starting up again in 2024.

Diversity is extremely important to us.  We really like to mix it up.  So at 4thFridays you'll hear everything from jazz to rock and from folk to hip hop. Because our musical offerings are diverse, so is our audience.

We're all about variety.  So at every show you'll hear at least 3 different artists.  The host, rufus harris, kicks off the show, followed by an artist performing a smaller set, then our headliner for the night, and lastly rufus closes out the show.  Videos are shown to introduce the artist to the audience or we may opt to do an onstage interview.  CDs by the artists are available for sale afterwards.

4thFridays was created for everyone.  So whether you're a High Schooler, a Millennial, or Baby Boomer, you're all welcome at the show.

Yes, it's a Christian venue but it's not religious and it's not a church service. And while we love listening to Christian's top 40, most of the music that artists perform at 4thFridays is original.  We have discovered an amazing amount of talent right here in Michigan and like to celebrate the fresh, creative music 4F artists have to offer.

We enjoy recognizing our attendees.  One of the special things we do at 4thFridays is highlighting birthdays.  If you have a birthday the month of 4thFridays, we'll sing you our own original Happy Birthday Song (written by Rufus and Denise) and present you with a little gift.  Also, regular attendees receive a raffle ticket free with admission for a chance to win a package which includes coffee and the artists' CDs that night.

Speaking of coffee - 4F coffee is the bomb.   Lawrence Strong, the 4F brewmister, is the reason we have "good coffee" in our motto.  There is a featured flavor every month as well as the 4thFridays house blend for those that love a more robust flavor.  There is also decaf and a variety of teas and hot chocolate for non-coffee drinkers.  All beverages are free with admission.

4F is presented every fourth Friday of the month (except in November and December) by the CAMP and Red Letter Records. The new venue location is Nardin Park United Methodist Church in their Fellowship Hall located at 29887 W. 11 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.   Most shows end at around 10:30pm. Admission is $10 at the door.  Major credit cards and personal checks accepted.   Dress is casual. Check out the upcoming show here
